Top 40 Funniest Construction Mistakes
Doing construction work simply isn’t going well for some people. Construction requires a certain level of pre-thought that some people just cannot handle, which can lead to some hilariously funny construction solutions. I'm happy these were captured by the eye of the camera so that we can enjoy the photographs of these wonderful technological fails.

Bold Predictions for 2012 NFL Season: Cutler Cracks a Smile, Brady Attempts the Impossible, and Eli Loses Some Weight…
Here we are…the preseason is behind us. The regular season is before us. And I have a few bold predictions (ten to be exact) for the 2012 NFL season:
10. Bears Quarterback Jay Cutler will be more likable as a dad. I didn’t say he’d be a better quarterback, but I do think fatherhood will soften his edges and make him a little more personable, or at least a little more human. Hey, that commercial he did for The NFL Store was almost funny. See? It’s already working.
9. On the other hand, fatherhood WILL make Tony Romo a better quarterback for the Cowboys. He put a lot of pressure on himself (some deservedly) the last few seasons, but now seems happy and settled. Let's hope the "happy and settled" translate to confidence on the field.
8. We will discover that Rex Ryan is a better coach when he’s overweight. Maybe it’s the diet. It’s possible he’s a little light-headed these days. I mean, claiming this is the best Jets team he’s ever coached? That may be more bold than his pre-preseason Superbowl predictions. He must be seeing something in practice that we’re not. Namely…touchdowns.
7. We will learn why no one wants to coach (or play) in Miami. If you watched Hard Knocks, you’re already half way there.
6. We will discover that there was indeed something magical about Peyton Manning’s hands under Jeff Saturday’s butt. Both will have decent seasons, but neither will be able to replicate what they had together in Indianapolis.
5. Tim Tebow will become the starter for the New York Jets. I don’t know when, but it will happen. And when it does, the skies will part, the angels will sing, and Skip Bayless will crown him MVP…all before he completes his first pass (just before halftime).
4. With the Patriots light on receivers, Tom Brady, upon suffering two Superbowl defeats to Eli Manning, will attempt to do the very thing wife Gisele Bundchen claimed he could not…throw the ball and catch it himself.
3. Eli Manning will finally prove that he is an elite quarterback after all, and is undoubtedly the best quarterback in the Manning family. Wait, didn’t he do that last season? Forget it then. Eli will find new joy playing for the Giants, without carrying a 230-pound monkey on his back named Peyton.
2. After two weeks of fumbled calls, Father Goodell will finally open his checkbook and sign the NFL officials to a new contract, just in time for week three. The replacement refs will miss the call, report to work, and flag the league for too many men on the field. They will try to reverse the call, but won’t remember what it was.
1. And for my last bold prediction of the season…Terrell Owens and Chad (Ochocinco) Johnson will fall in love (no, not with each other) and ride off into sunset, never to be heard from again. I know. I pushed it too far with that one. Damn, it was a nice thought though…wasn’t it?
Here’s to the 2012 NFL season. The clock is down to hours…and they’re ticking away.

Fantasy Football Sleepers 2012: Top Breakout Candidate at Each Position

QB: Jake Locker
Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans are eventually going to install the second-year player as the starting QB, but many fantasy players are hesitant that coach Mike Munchak will wait too long for Locker to make any real impact in 2012.
That's nonsense, as the gunslinger has a stronger arm and better scrambling ability than the ancient Matt Hasselbeck. Locker is poised to start his first preseason game on Frdiay against the Buccaneers, as Hasselbeck is scheduled to come off the bench for once.
It's a clear sign that the team is moving closer to starting the former Washington standout once the regular season kicks off. When that happens, Locker will be a huge steal for those who draft him late.

Detroit Lions
Leshoure was supposed to make an impace last year, as he is the backup RB to Jahvid Best - the brittle scat-back who spent much of 2011 on the IR. Unfortunately, the 2011 second-round pick missed his entire rookie season with injury, but is now fully healthy and likely hungry to make an impact. Despite a two-game suspension, the Detroit RB will be a fine acquisition. At worst, Leshoure is going to be a red-zone back who vultures easy scores from Best. The ceiling for Leshoure is stealing the starting job for concussion-prone Best and making a huge mark on the Detroit Lions potent offense.
Carolina Panthers
LaFell is going to be starting across from Steve Smith and has locked up the No. 2 job in Carolina. He’s an interesting player to take a late-round flier on, as he has a knack for the big play and making something happen. He also had a tendency to disappear for stretches, but the third-year WR should be poised for a breakout campaign after a respectable 36-reception, 613-yard, three-touchdown year in 2011.
Cam Newton is only going to get better in 2012 after running away with the Rookie of the Year award last season. Expect the rapport between him and his other receivers (Newton already has a telepathic connection with Smith) to get much stronger. That will translate into big numbers on the gridiron and in fantasy.

The 22-year-old TE doesn’t have the best QB situation with Christian Ponder slinging the rock in Minnesota, but he has a chance to become the young signal-caller’s favorite target. Incumbent starter Visanthe Shiancoe is gone, so the Minny brass decided to bring in the aging John Carlson to replace his production while preparing to lean more on Rudolph. It’s quite possible that Rudolph (6’6”, 260 pounds) outplays the former Seahawk and proves to be a tough matchup—especially in the red area. Considering the inexperience of Ponder and need to protect him, you can bet the Purple People Eaters will be using plenty of double-TE sets that involve Rudolph.

DEF: Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks were one of the most underrated defenses in 2011 and only got better coming into the new season.
They were a top-10 unit that had little offensive support last year and still managed to hold opponents under 20 points per game. Considering they play in the relatively easy NFC West (Arizona has no quarterback, St. Louis is still a work in progress and no one is sure what to expect from Alex Smith in San Francisco), the Seahawks have a chance to repeat that feat.
The defense added an incredible pass rushing specialist in Bruce Irvin and addressed its need for an outside LB in the second round by selecting Bobby Wagner.
Coupled with the additions of Barrett Ruud and Jason Jones from Tennessee, this defensive unit is looking fiercer than ever.

The Top Five
Confidence is contagious and so is insecurity. You may have heard it said that most people earn about as much as the five people with whom they associate the most. People are funny like that: we love to belong, to feel included. And we naturally gravitate towards those people that we feel most comfortable with.
Right now: pick up your cell phone and scroll down the call log: who are the five people that you talk to the most in any given week?
Are they people that you want to me MORE like, or less?
Are they people who encourage you to be your best or drag you down?
You can always reach out and create new friendships and associations with people that you want to be more like. You are the same person today that you’re going to be five years from now, except for two things: the people with whom you associate and the books you read. Pay any price to stay in the company of extraordinary people – and pay any price to make sure the five people that you spend the most time with are people who are encouraging you to be your best.

So
many of you have asked how Colorado is holding up and we sincerely
appreciate your concerns. The High Park fire near Ft. Collins started on
June 9th
by lighting and burned 248 homes. It was the most destructive fire in
Colorado's history until the Waldo Canyon fire started near Colorado
Springs on June 23. The Waldo Canyon fire burned almost 350 homes and
gave a serious threat to the entire city of Colorado Springs. At the
same time there were as many as 10 other fires burning in our state. These pictures are incredible yet heartbreaking.
